Morell Bistro & Bar is an owned- operated modern bistro set in on the leafy corner of Upland & Benson Road Remuera. Established 2017.

Daniel & Sarah Morini (owners) met in 2009 In Ponsonby in popular eatery, Sarah front of house manager, Daniel head chef.

They fell in love over their love for well executed simple food, quality ingredients and warm NZ hospitality. Morell Bistro & Bar is the”restaurant” dream for this seasoned hospitality couple. Both have worked for exceptional local & worldwide chefs and restauranteurs including Neil Perry, Peter Gordon, Frank Chek, Mark Wallbank & Simon Gault.

“At Morell Bistro we understand that kai is much more than food. It’s about whanau (family and friends) and oranga (health & wellbeing). How we source our ingredients matters because we are proud kaitiaki, guardians of our land. Our menu created by owner/chef Daniel from Maori/Italian decent shows you where we come from and where we are going.

Always inspired by our roots of our “familia” and manaakitanga, the Maori tradition of hospitality everything we do is presented to you with aroha care & pride.
